Trans* online: Juliet Jacques and Jesse Darling discuss digital spaces and trans* identities

Wednesday, 11 November, 7pm

Carroll /Fletcher, 56-57 Eastcastle Street, London, W1W 8EQ

From Sandy Stone’s ‘The Empire Strikes Back: A Post-Transsexual Manifesto’, circulated on early digital networks in the 1980s, to twitter debates today, digital communications have changed the dynamics that had previously silenced and separated trans people.

Juliet Jacques, author of Trans: A Memoir (Verso, 2015), and Jesse Darling, artist and writer, discuss feminist, queer, non-binary and trans-identities and their articulation in online spaces, as well as the artistic practices that explore technology and the body.

This event is part of a special series looking at relationships between digital technology and culture in a season-long collaboration between Carroll / Fletcher and Verso Books.
